Jaqueline Perez Verdin is a recent UC Berkeley graduate having majored in Public Health and minoring in in Global Poverty & Practice. Growing up in a border city and as a first generation Latinx student, Jackie witnessed both first and secondhand how the complexity of immigration tends to translate to hardships, inequities, and barriers to accessing basic needs for members in her community.
